What is CommentBoost?

CommentBoost is a subscription web application for YouTube creators. Its purpose is to help creators read comments on their YouTube videos, generate AI-powered reply suggestions, and post replies when they explicitly choose to send them.

How CommentBoost uses Google user data

CommentBoost account sign-in uses email and password, not Google Sign-In. Google OAuth is used only when you choose to connect your YouTube channel from the dashboard.

When you connect YouTube, you approve the Google API scope youtube.force-ssl (manage your YouTube account). CommentBoost accesses the following Google/YouTube user data only to provide these features:

• YouTube channel identity (channel name and handle) — shown so you know which channel is connected.
• Your uploaded videos — listed so you can select a video to work on.
• Comments on a video you select — loaded so you can read threads and generate reply suggestions.
• Posting a comment reply — only when you click to send a reply; CommentBoost does not post automatically.
• OAuth access tokens — stored on our servers to maintain your YouTube connection until you disconnect.

CommentBoost does not receive your Google password, access Gmail or other Google services, upload or delete videos, change channel settings, or use YouTube data for advertising. You can disconnect YouTube at any time from your dashboard.
